24Hours Unplugged

Do you need time to rest? Can you benefit from a day without digital distractions?

– and take the First Annual 24Hours Unplugged: Richland Challenge, beginning Friday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m. till Saturday, April 25, at 6:00 p.m. During this 24 hour period you will commit to unplug from your computer, cell phone, tablets, television and computers – no emails or text messaging. Only for 24 hours!

We are learning that there are serious consequences to an unbalanced digital life. Many of us have grown accustomed to our workday extending well beyond time in the office. A growing body of research concludes that our daily gauntlet of emails, text messages, status updates and digital multitasking can lead to increased stress and distractedness, decreased productivity, anxiety and even depression. Gone unchecked, our digital distractions can also impair our capacity for thoughtfulness and creativity.

It’s easy to sign up. Simply scroll down and click on the link: http://goo.gl/forms/YVpY6wFYz1 contained beneath the flier at the end of this message.
