Providing free tutoring by the outstanding full-time and adjunct English professors of Richland College
The English Corner’s mission is to extend classroom learning by creating a proactive tutoring and study area that supports and guides students throughout the reading and writing process. The dedicated staff of Richland English professors assists students enrolled in English 1301 or 1302 writing courses through empowering students to accomplish goals, enhance their achievements, and inspire them to become lifelong learners and achieve the dream of graduating from college.
The English Corner is a drop-in, no appointment needed, free tutoring and study area, where students can get one-on-one help with English homework and writing assignments.
The English Corner is a place for students to work closely with English faculty on all tasks related to reading and writing-from discussing and understanding readings, to gathering ideas, to note taking, to writing essays, to creating job materials, to completing scholarship and college transfer applications, the English Corner is here to help.
Students can visit during any part of the writing process. Bring ideas from a brainstorming session or a completed draft that needs help with revision.
Students can visit the English Corner as often as they want, and may stay as long as they’d like. Plus they don’t have to pay anything!
