We are headed to Ennis, the home of the “Official Bluebonnet Trail of Texas” to participate in the famous BLUEBONNET FESTIVAL. We will visit the charming historical downtown area with its Farmer’s Market, Arts and Crafts booths, live music, food sites and shops of interest. Perhaps we can find some famous local Czech food. The Railroad and Cultural Heritage Museum chronicles the town’s long railroad history with an actual MKT Railroad caboose and a large collection of rare china. And we have a view of lovely Ennis historical homes. We visit Lake Bardwell, a reservoir and conservation pool nearby. We will return through Waxahachie and view some of the sites of that interesting area.
