Career Services Center

Career Services serves as a resource for credit and non-credit students as well as alumni of Richland College. Students may use the center at their leisure however; appointments are encouraged for using the Computer Guidance Programs and for in-depth consultation. Career Center allows you to find jobs, decide a major, polish up your interview skills, as well as many other useful services. Richland counselors are available to help current students with personal, career and academic concerns that affect academic success and quality of life. Counselors provide short-term, solution focused personal counseling and make referrals, when needed, for such concerns as:

Computer Lab is available seven days a week. You MUST have a current student ID to enter the lab. The Computer Lab and the Library use the same print account system.

Richland College has a state-of-the-art wellness, athletic and recreational facility. This 3000+ square foot fitness center overlooks the beautiful Richland Lake and is equipped with more than $100,000 worth of high-tech fitness equipment, featuring the premier VR2 Strength Systems by Cybex.

The Health Center is a multi-purpose facility that promotes health, wellness and preventive care for the college community. Registered nurses coordinate and provide the health services.

Please bring the receipt indicating you have paid for your classes. Continuing students only need a sticker for the current term placed on their ID. Replacing a lost ID costs $10.00, which is payable at the business office in Thunderduck Hall.
The Learning Center
Location: Medina Hall – M216
The Learning Center offers free academic tutoring for a variety of courses at Richland College. There are drop-in labs for tutoring in math, accounting, economics, history, and government. Computers are available for students to use to work on class assignments. The Writing Center provides assistance on written assignments for any of Richland’s courses. The Learning Center collaborates with the science faculty to provide tutoring in biology, chemistry, and physics in the Science Corner in Sabine Hall.

The Library offers research assistance online and in person. You are able to request materials from any of the seven colleges within the Dallas County Community College District through the online catalog and check out materials at the Richland Library. There is a computer lab available for student use, but check the sign outside the door for availability. You may setup a print account in the library to make copies or to print from the computers. You will need your student ID number and a dollar bill to get started. Copies are five cents a page. A student ID or photo ID is needed to check out materials.
Office of Student Life

OSL is the department which is responsible for the extra and co-curricular activities of the college campus. They offer a wide variety of culturally diverse programs and services which are designed to promote the success of your educational goals. OSL schedules programs which complement and enhance your classroom learning process. In addition, they provide many unique educational experiences which go beyond the traditional classroom instruction.
Location: Wichita – WH-251
On-campus viewing of video tapes for Math classes, Foreign Language, and some other subjects. Some materials may be checked out for off-campus rental. Media Reserve video and audio tapes are materials selected by faculty for on-campus use.

The Richland College Transfer Center provides students the opportunity to obtain information as well as to meet with college/university representatives concerning course transferability, university programs/degrees and the transfer process.
- Students may use the Transfer Center to access information about colleges/universities
- Students may use the Transfer Center to meet with college/university representatives by appointment. Students make the appointments in the Advising Center (T-180) but meet with the representatives in El Paso Hall E-085.
