The Dallas County area is home to a wide variety of manufacturing companies. In fact, Garland is one of the largest manufacturing cities in the state of Texas with over 375 manufacturers. In response to the wide variety of needs expressed by the manufacturing community, Richland College and the Garland Chamber of Commerce formed the Dallas County Manufacturers’ Association (DCMA) in 2006.
DCMA’s goal is to provide the Dallas County manufacturing community with the best possible opportunities to grow, compete and succeed in the global marketplace. One of DCMA’s major objectives is to provide resources for a qualified workforce and training. They accomplish this by working closely with Richland College which provides an extensive array of training programs designed to meet the needs of the manufacturing community.
