IV Admixture Certification Course for Pharmacy Technicians
This course is designed for certified, registered pharmacy technicians who wish to gain national IV certification that will be accepted by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and/or Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate from Richland College, a frame-able certificate from Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists** and 40 hours of ACPE-accredited professional continuing education credit.
This course will prepare pharmacy technicians to perform IV admixture of sterile products using proper aseptic technique and processes that are consistent with the latest revision of USP 797 standards. This course will be a combination of 20 hours of home study via eCampus and 56 hours of live laboratory skills practice for the development of hands-on skills. Completion of home study will require a computer with high-speed internet access, particularly as examinations are administered online.

Tuition is $595 along with liability insurance of up to $18.13. Required textbook is included with tuition.

**The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This continuing professional education program (0156-9999-13-200-H01-T & 0156-9999-13-201-L01-T) provides 40.0 contact hours (0.4 CEU), (20 live hours & 20 hone-study hours) of continuing pharmacy education. This program’s accreditation expires on April 1, 2016. To receive a Statement of Participation, your attendance must be verified, a program evaluation must be completed and turned in at the end of the program, a score of 75% for higher on the exam, and mastery of the hands-on validation skills. Official credit will be issued through the My CPE Monitor website, you will also receive a frame-able statement of credit.
Note: Effective January 1, 2013, all participants seeking CPE credit will be required to provide their NABP e-Profile ID # and date of birth (in MMDD format) for issuance of CPE Statements of Credit.
